What's new
Ready Hand still changes often. The version on a saved card matches the one below, so a screenshot can always be placed — it names the build and nothing else, because how far a score can be trusted depends on which ruleset produced it and is said beside that ruleset.
Ending the night shows you the night
0.101.1 · 20 Sep 2026
- It used to clear the evening the moment you ended it, so the one thing you played all night for disappeared as you asked for it. A finished night now stays on screen, through a reload, until you dismiss it.
- “Start tonight with this hand” was the same weight as the small print beside it and read as small print. It has an outline and a “?” now.
- After adding a hand you see the evening rather than a receipt — which is also how you end it from the result screen, instead of having to go back to the start.
Keep a record of the evening
0.101.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- Score a hand and you can add it to tonight: tap the seat whose hand it was and the seat that dealt, on a square drawn from where you sit. Nobody picks a wind.
- The first screen then shows where the table is — hands and points per seat, most hands, most points, and the best hand of the night with what it actually was. Only once there is something to show.
- It counts what was *won*, and deliberately does not name a winner: somebody who took two hands and dealt into three bigger ones is down for the night, and the app has no way to know that yet.
- The record lives on your phone and nowhere else, so it will not survive clearing your browser — which is why it stops at your own wins rather than settling up between four people.
Hong Kong pays the last discard, and says it is a house rule
0.100.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- 河底撈魚 — winning on the very last discard — is now worth 2 faan, the same as its twin 海底撈月. It is not in the published table the rest of Hong Kong follows, so it is marked: the result says how many faan came from a house rule, and the row it came from is tagged.
- The reasoning, in case it matters at your table: you can take off faan you can see, and you cannot add faan nobody told you about. So a disputed pattern is scored and labelled rather than quietly left out.
- The question about the last discard is back on the Hong Kong flow, having been removed two days ago when nothing scored it.
Hong Kong stops asking questions it ignores
0.99.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- “It was the last copy of that tile” is Chinese Official’s 和絕張 and is worth nothing in Hong Kong — but the Hong Kong flow still asked, took your answer and dropped it. It is gone there, along with the last-discard question, which the Hong Kong table we follow does not score either.
- Everything still asked does change the score, and that is now checked rather than asserted: the suite scores a real hand with each answer both ways.
One word about trust, and it follows the rules you picked
0.98.2 · 19 Sep 2026
- The badge beside the title said BETA over a Hong Kong hand while the style menu said alpha two lines below. It now says whichever applies to the ruleset you are on — beta for Chinese Official, alpha for Hong Kong.
- The version has dropped its channel with it. It names the build, which is what a saved card and a bug report need; how far a score can be trusted depends on the ruleset and is said beside the ruleset.
- A saved card no longer carries the commit hash. Cutting the channel off used to take the hash with it, and with no channel to cut there was nothing to stop it.
Only changes a player could notice are listed. Plenty of releases fix things nobody would ever have seen.
