What's new
Ready Hand still changes often. The version on a saved card matches the one below, so a screenshot can always be placed — it names the build and nothing else, because how far a score can be trusted depends on which ruleset produced it and is said beside that ruleset.
Every seat gets an animal for the evening
0.105.0 · 21 Sep 2026
- The four seats are dealt a Chinese zodiac animal when the night starts, and it stays with the chair all evening — on the tally, on the seat picker and on the card. It is there so the table can say “the tiger’s ahead” instead of pointing at a colour.
- The seat colours read apart properly now. Violet and blue were close enough to be mistaken for each other, and each row carried its colour only as a pale wash — which flattened all four. Violet is now magenta, and every row has a solid stripe down its edge at full strength.
- Ending an evening is “Finish tonight”, and the last press — the one that clears it — is now “Start a new game”.
The night card stops showing an older night
0.104.1 · 21 Sep 2026
- Record another hand and the card under the tally now redraws instead of keeping the picture it had. It was showing a previous evening, in the previous colours, under totals that had moved on.
- Ending the night takes two presses. Done draws the card and says this is the last you will see of it; discarding is a second, deliberate press with the card on screen above it. One press used to clear four hours of play.
A colour per seat, on the tally and on the card
0.104.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- Each seat has its own colour — a dot beside the name and a tint behind the bar — and the lines underneath point back at it with the same dots, so “most points” and “biggest” are findable on the scoreboard at a glance.
- The names stay in ordinary ink. The colour is a second cue beside them, never the only one, which is what keeps it readable for anyone who does not see all four hues apart.
Tonight reads like a scoreboard, and saves like one
0.103.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- The tally has a bar behind each seat, longest first, with the seat ahead in gold. All four show now — a seat on nothing is still playing, and at a table that is usually the one being talked about.
- Share or save tonight draws the evening as a card, the same as a hand: who won what, most hands, most points, and the night’s best with what it actually was. A hand card interests whoever held the hand; this one interests everyone who was there.
Name the seats
0.102.0 · 20 Sep 2026
- Tonight › Name the seats gives all four a name, at any point in the evening. The names then show wherever the seat does — on the tally, on the square when you record a hand, and on the night’s best.
- Empty a name and the seat goes back to being You, Left, Across or Right. A name belongs to the chair rather than the person, which is what lets the score stay put when somebody swaps in.
- Names never leave your phone.
Only changes a player could notice are listed. Plenty of releases fix things nobody would ever have seen.
