What's new

Ready Hand still changes often. The version on a saved card matches the one below, so a screenshot can always be placed — it names the build and nothing else, because how far a score can be trusted depends on which ruleset produced it and is said beside that ruleset.

The seats get something from the table instead of zodiac animals

0.114.0 · 21 Sep 2026

  • Tea, a pot, an orange, melon seeds, a dumpling, something sweet — four drawn at random when a tally starts. Still there to make a seat sayable across the table, just less of a claim about who is sitting in it.
  • A tally already in progress keeps the marks it began with.
The tally's controls are real buttons now

0.113.0 · 21 Sep 2026

  • Name the seats, Take back a hand and Tally up were underlined text about sixteen pixels tall — a hard tap on a panel meant to be used one-handed mid-game. They are proper buttons now, each with a small drawn mark.
  • All three fit on one line, and Tally up is gold because it ends the tally where the other two only correct it.
Clearer which button is for the hand and which is for the table

0.112.0 · 21 Sep 2026

  • A scored hand could show two identical black “Share or save” buttons — one for the hand, one for the table — far enough apart to send the wrong one. The tally’s is now an outline, and the hand’s actions sit under a “This hand” label so each group says what it acts on.
  • “Tally up” asks before it stops recording, with Done and Cancel; Cancel puts you back where you were. Confirming draws the card at the same time, so the finished tally opens with the picture already on it.
  • The card is only offered once the tally is finished. A share button under a tally still being kept made it look finished when it was not — while you are recording, the panel is now just the seats, the totals and the two ways to correct them.
It is a tally for your table, and it stopped assuming you play at night

0.111.1 · 21 Sep 2026

  • “Start tonight with this hand” is now “Tally this table”, and ending one is “Tally up”. The old labels used the app’s own word for the feature as a noun, and nobody says “start tonight”.
  • The word “tonight” is gone everywhere — the heading, the buttons, the help and the card. Mahjong gets played at lunch, on a Sunday afternoon and in a club at three o’clock, and the card is the part that leaves the building. The date on it already says when.
The wind questions are gone while you are keeping a tally

0.111.0 · 21 Sep 2026

  • With an evening running, the app asks who won and who dealt before scoring, and works both winds out from that. Two questions become two taps on the seats you were going to tap anyway — and recording the hand at the end is now a single button.
  • This also fixes a wrong score. The old question was “which wind are you this hand?”, but one phone records for the whole table — so a hand you scored for somebody else was getting your seat wind instead of theirs.
  • With no evening running nothing changes: scoring a single hand still asks the winds the way it always did.

Only changes a player could notice are listed. Plenty of releases fix things nobody would ever have seen.
